Contacting EEC

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE DEPARTMENT OF EARLY EDUCATION AND CARE

We encourage you to call and ask for a compliance history from the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) as part of your overall child care decision making process if you are considering a type of care which falls under EEC'S licensing responsibility. EEC is the state agency responsible for child care licensing and for researching any complaints pertaining to specific child care programs or providers. You may ask for a compliance or licensing history by calling EEC's regional office in Taunton at 508-828-5025.

You can also use this number to report a complaint about a child care facility. Child Care Network staff can be helpful to you in further describing licensing regulations pertaining to such program aspects as staff/child ratio, group size, staff qualifications, etc. An understanding of the state's regulations can be very helpful as you finalize your child care decisions.
